- 2009
- The junction with the Mountsorrel Railway at Swithland on completion of the ballast laying - October.
- Mountsorrel Granite Wagon - The first of three wagons painted to promote the branch project at Rothley in september.
- 1V86 runs again! - The first run of the 4 vehicle mark 1 TPO set in July, with appropriate motive power and headcode (1V86 was the Newcastle - Plymouth TPO)
- All six of our TPO vehicles - Standing at Swithland with the LNER pair nearest and the 1V86 set furthest.
- Beavertail at Carrog - On the rear of a train headed by "Mayflower" during its visit to the Llangollen Railway.
- Llangollen visit for Beavertail - In April, standing at Llangollen with Morayshire.
- 2008 - 40th Anniversary Year
- Real Progress on Buffet Car 24278 - Making a brief appearance outisde Rothley shed in early December, during a shunt move, the progress made in the past year is plain to see. The bodysides are fully panelled. Much more to do inside though!
- Proof Santa exists! - Caught at Quorn waiting for a delivery of presents off a passing TPO
- And more presents.. collecting them from a Northobound TPO at Quorn station.
- Bringing our 40th Anniversary celebrations to a close - Leander heading our anniversary dining train into Rothley on 1st November. Revarnished pigeon van at the front of the train.
- The final tree - A remarkable achievement (in less than a year), the volunteer team that cleared the Mountsorrel branch sit on the final tree blocking the line near Wood Lane Bridge (on Lafarge property, beyond RVPs section).
- 40th Anniversary Gala - 6 coach TPO set with LNER vehicles at the front...
- ..And BR vehicles to the rear - Including the first runs of 80349 in preservation.
- 850 Lord Nelson working our 40th Anniversary celebration TPO train on the evening of 26th July
- The Mountsorrel Railway - clearance is completed throughout our section in May (the final 100 yards shown here)
- Rothley shed on 1st March - full of RVP vehicles; 96202 in for repaint, 1719 for fitting of the bar, and 24278 heavy restoration.
